Transcript
Artificial intelligence is driven by data. And your life, well it generates a lot of data. Who owns it? Well, for the most part, whoever collects it. The fact that you bought gasoline at 2 o'clock at some location is owned by whoever happened to see you there and look at their watch. Your preference for purple clothes is likewise owned by whoever frequently sees you wearing it.
Now in the digital age, our ability to collect data about you has obviously gone way up, and in many places, it's like air. It's free to breathe and use. And the question we all have to ask ourselves is, "Is that what we really want?" Do we want data to be owned by the collector, or by the agent who generates it?
