Now that we have GPS everywhere, I don't really know my way around town the way I did 20 years ago. I just turn when it says to turn. You know, similarly, I use a calculator, but I never, ever check its math on paper to make sure that it's accurate. I don't memorize phone numbers anymore, nor do I doubt that my phone will do a bad job of it. In the age of artificial intelligence, will we stop making hardly any decisions, and if so, what are the unintended consequences of this?
