It's hard to overstate just how different human brains are from computers. Neurons, after all, are both the memory and the CPU. And brain function is what happens--with the humming, with the interaction, with the activity--between all of that. The brain, clearly, is the most amazing organ that I have. I mean, I'm grateful for the job that my kidneys do, but my brain, my mind even, is actually me. What could be the equivalent for an artificial intelligence? Where would the "me" reside in that?
