In this episode, Byron talks about how tech multiplies human ability.
Transcript
Technology mainly multiplies human ability. And it's neutral, right? It can multiply good and it can multiply by evil. But it turns out that across the span of time, we tend to use technology to multiply good more than evil. How do we know this? Well, it's easier to destroy than to create, and yet society continues to create. We have cities and institutions and all of the rest that we have built over centuries and over eons, that a few bad actors could probably destroy. But it turns out that the majority is more interested in creating with technology than destroying with it, and I think we can expect that artificial intelligence isn't going to be any different.
