In this episode, Byron talks about the human IQ.
Transcript
How smart is smart? Or, put another way, how smart can smart be? An average human has an IQ of 100--that's what the tests are calibrated for. It's speculated that Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein may have had IQs of 160 or more, in that range. What would an IQ of 200 be like? But, don’t stop there, what would an IQ of 2,000 be like, or a 20,000 IQ, or an IQ of 200,000? Are those stratospheric levels of intelligence actually possible, or does intelligence itself have some kind of cap far more close to where humans are at?
