The human brain is the topic of today's AI Minute.

When it comes to building an artificial general intelligence, an AI as versatile as you and I, I think there are three mental hurdles you have to get over. I'm going to spend three AI minutes talking about each one. They are the mind, the brain, and consciousness.
Let's begin with the brain. The human brain is the only AGI, kind of, that we know of in existence. And the humbling thing is how little we understand how it works. We don't know how thoughts are retrieved. We don't know how the brain does what it does and we don't even know if emulating what the brain does is the pathway to intelligence. This is the first and most basic thing that we have to understand to build an AGI. We have to understand better what intelligence is.
